Adele trades West Norwood flat for Surrey mansion

Grammy-award winner Adele is working her way up in the world after splashing out on a luxurious countryside mansion at the tender age of 23.

The hugely successful singer/songwriter, who once rented a bedsit above the This, That & The Other Store in West Norwood, has bought herself a £6million house in Surrey which overlooks 25 acres of beautiful gardens.

The estate is just a 30 minute drive from the house where her new boyfriend, Simon Konecki, lives in Brighton.

Born in Tottenham but raised in Brixton, Adele triumphed at the Grammies last week, collecting six awards – equalling megastar Beyonce’s record for the most awards won by a female artist in one night.

The Londoner’s second album, 21, was certified 14 times platinum in March last year, having sold more than 3 million copies in one year, and broke the record for the longest running number one album for a female solo artist in the UK albums chart.
